Matt Elliott played professional football for over 16 years with Torquay United, Scunthorpe United, Oxford United and Leicester City.
He played nearly 600 games in total, with over 240 being for his last club Leicester City.
He was the captain of Leicester City and Man of the Match in their League Cup Final success in 2000, when they beat Tranmere Rovers.
Matt was capped 18 times by Scotland and was a member of the 1998 World Cup squad.
