Ian Botham , Sir OBE
Ian Botham is remembered as the best all-rounder that England and World cricket has ever seen. He was the first player to score a century and take ten wickets in the same match and has featured every year since his retirement in the Wisden best ever World X1.
He had a career in first class cricket that spanned nearly 20 years with Somerset, Worcestershire and Durham playing in over 400 matches and 470 limited over games. He played 102 test matches for England and also 116 One-Day International games.
Ian became a television favourite with appearances on Question of Sport and nowadays is he is part of the commentary team for Sky Sports cricket coverage and he also writes a column in a national newspaper.
