Bernard Gallacher OBE
Scottish golf speaker and player Bernard Gallacher began playing golf aged just 11 and won his first trophy, the Lothians Golf Association Boys Championship, just five years later.
As a sports person, Bernard is known for his work alongside fellow golf player Brian Barnes with whom he managed to beat golfing legend Jack Nicklaus twice in one day.
With a long and prestigious career, Bernard was the youngest person to represent Great Britain when he took part in the 1969 Ryder Cup.
