Alex Stepney
Alex was one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation. The early part of his career was with Millwall and Chelsea, however he made his name at Old Trafford under the management of the great Matt Busby.
A member of the fantastic Manchester United 1968 European Cup winning team, he will always be remembered for a superb save from the great Eusebio that was a big fact in United winning the game.
In total, Alex made 535 appearances for Manchester United, had 175 clean sheets, and in 1973, he managed to score two penalties.
In 1978 Alex left the club to play for the Dallas Tornado in the North America Soccer League.
Now, Alex is a well-known speaker, who makes regular appearances at sporting dinners to talk about his life in football.
