Speaker List
Chris Cowdrey
Former Kent and England Captain and eldest son of the late Lord Colin Cowdrey. Chris Cowdrey is the eldest son of Lord Cowdrey, one of the great names of English cricket.
Such heritage requires character, courage and determination in order to follow in the footsteps of such a famous father.
He is a popular, charismatic and natural leader, distinguishing himself in the world of sport, broadcasting and public speaking.
Chris’s humorous speeches are predominantly amusing cricket stories and experiences. If he is presented with a totally non-cricketing audience he may add one or two gags, but generally his stories work for anyone, mixed audiences as well. When presenting a motivational speech he concentrates more on the hurdles he has overcome such as following a famous father and mistakes he made along the way when for example he was appointed England Captain in 1988.
Chris is happy to speak to conferences, corporations, associations and public and private groups, and will adapt his text to suit the audience, which can be anything from a local sports club to major company dinners.
Since 1990, Chris has spoken at more than 700 events establishing him as one of the country´s most humorous and entertaining sporting speakers. He is an excellent public speaker, auctioneer and master of ceremonies. He has written two cricket books and has worked for Talksport and Sky Television.
